This coating, as well as a solution for its implementation, contains hexavalent chromium. Due to the excellent corrosion resistance, chromating can serve as a final protective coating of aluminium structures, but its main purpose is to prepare the surface for painting. It recommended as the substrate under the powder coating GUALICOAT system. This process is widely used around the world. Another important component chromating process is the drying temperature. The temperature should not exceed 70 degrees. At high temperatures, water molecules in the chromate layer are lost, and consequently the quality decreases several times.
